Town officials in MetroWest are warning residents after thefts were reported from several blue, curbside USPS mailboxes. Lexington police said sometime between 4 p.m. on Saturday and the morning of Monday, the three USPS mailboxes in front of the Post Office at 1661 Massachusetts Ave. were accessed by an individual and mail inside was taken. Police said they believe the same person accessed the mailbox in the driveway of the Town Office Building at 1625 Massachusetts Ave. “At this time, we believe the individual responsible was able to obtain a key that allowed them to access these mailboxes,” Lexington police said. “We do not know how or where the individual acquired the key.”Police are working with the United States Postal Service to determine exactly what timethe mailboxes were accessed, and if there is any information to be shared about a potential suspect.”I think it’s going to give a lot of …
