It’s time for a little weekly check in this Wellness Wednesday. In case you haven’t heard, Governor Kay Ivey has declared May 5 -11 Drinking Water Week.

DECATUR, Ala. — It’s time for a little weekly check in this Wellness Wednesday. In case you haven’t heard, Governor Kay Ivey has declared May 5 -11 Drinking Water Week in Alabama. And, guess what? Proper hydration isn’t the sole reason why. 

 For ADPH State Dental Director Tommy Johnson the whole purpose of drinking water week is raising awareness. “You know, drinking water is something that we very often take for granted. It’s important on so many different levels. It is actually this week, but it’s also an appreciation. It’s an awareness and an appreciation of the people, our partners, that help us to promote safe drinking water.”
