The first Monday in May marks one of the most momentous events in the fashion calendar – the Met Gala.

Held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the theme of the annual event is always set to reflect the opening of the museum’s Costume Institute’s annual exhibition.

This year will be no different, with the exclusive event set to take place on 1 May 2023 and celebrate the theme: “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”. In addition to honouring the late fashion designer through the exhibition, guests will also pay tribute to Lagerfeld through the dress code, which Vogue announced will be “in honour of Karl”.
