Minden tornado: Person dies of injuries sustained in tornado [Video]

MINDEN, Iowa — One person has died following a tornado in Minden Friday evening, according to the Pottawattamie County Emergency Management Agency. 

The deceased person sustained injuries in the tornado and was hospitalized before their death.

Three other people in Minden were also hospitalized for their injuries, but have since been released.

The tornado in Minden was just one of “at least 10 tornadoes” that occurred in Iowa on Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Des Moines. 

Other tornadoes were identified in Union County, Ringgold County, Madison County, Clarke County, Jasper County and Polk County.
