MINNEAPOLIS — As Americans wrestle with inflation, rising prices and high interest rates, it is more important than ever to be educated in how to spend, save and invest the money we make.
The good news… is that Minnesotans are better educated than most when it comes to money and finances, according to personal finance website WalletHub. A recent study ranks Minnesota the most financially literate state in America for 2024.
WalletHub’s research uses a data set of 17 key metrics ranging from high-school financial literacy programs to percentage of people over age 18 who spend more than they earn. Other categories include percentage of adults paying only minimums on credit cards and those with rainy-day funds.
