Mitt Romney Delivers His Verdict in Trump Hush Money Case [Video]

Despite Donald Trump’s denials, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) is not believing the former president when he says he did not have sex with that woman – Ms. Lewinsky Stormy Daniels.

Trump is on trial for falsifying business records to conceal hush money payments he allegedly made to Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal, both of whom he allegedly had affairs with ahead of the 2016 presidential election. The former president has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts.

“I think everybody has made their own assessment of President Trump’s character,” Romney told CNN’s Manu Raju outside the Capitol on Tuesday. “And so far as I know, you don’t pay someone $130,000 not to have sex with you.”

Though Romney is a longtime Trump critic, the comment was a sharp missive from the typically buttoned-up senator.
