Hundreds of pro-Palestine protesters marched peacefully through the University of Missouri campus Monday.
At least 300 protesters fanned out across MU’s campus, shouting chants like, “free, free Palestine” and “end the genocide.” Mizzou Students for Justice in Palestine organized the protest.
The demonstration started on Lowry Mall, stopped in front of Memorial Union on Hitt Street, turned onto University Avenue, and made its way around the Francis Quadrangle, in front of Jesse Hall.
No one was arrested nor set up encampments during Monday’s protest, contrasting demonstrations at other American universities that have resulted in more than 1,000 people being arrested.
