WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – Millions of Americans are about to get the chance to see a total solar eclipse next month and NASA is getting ready for the big event.
On Tuesday, NASA officials spoke to the public in Washington, DC about the event.
“Space brings us together. There’s no better proof than moments like this. A total solar eclipse,” said Bill Nelson, NASA Administrator.
15 states will get the chance to see an amazing celestial experience on April 8th. The path of totality will stretch across a diagonal path, from parts of Texas into Maine.
When the eclipse happens, they will experience four and half minutes of darkness.
NASA officials said that the event will not only be an amazing experience to see, but it will also offer up a great opportunity for scientists to learn more.
