Navy Week program sets sail in Montgomery ahead of Beyond the Horizon air show [Video]

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA)—This week is Navy Week in Montgomery, leading up to the Beyond The Horizon Air and Space Show at Maxwell Air Force Base. More than 50 Sailors from across the country will be here this week, conducting education and community outreach events around the city.

Navy Week is a series of events designed to give people in the community a chance to learn about the Navy, its people, and its importance to national security and prosperity. This week, sailors will visit non-profits like Mercy House, the Heart of Alabama Food Bank, and STEM presentations at Auburn University at Montgomery.

They’ll also enjoy an ASU Hornets baseball game, Montgomery Whitewater, and be at the Maxwell Airshow STEM hangar throughout the weekend. The Navy Band Southeast will also perform at different venues throughout the week.
