Tuesday is our next First Alert Weather Day as the risk for strong to severe storms returns in the afternoon hours.

A family member confirmed to 6 News Sunday that a Minden, Iowa man died Saturday night from injuries sustained in Friday’s tornado.

Elkhorn parishioners came together Sunday morning to look to a higher power and to each other as recovery continues.

Douglas County health officials are advising those assisting with storm cleanup to make sure they have received a tetanus vaccine within the last decade.

The American Red Cross has closed its emergency shelters in Elkhorn and Blair due to lack of need.
