Eight law enforcement officers were shot during a shootout while serving a warrant Monday afternoon in Charlotte, North Carolina, and four have died, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.One of the victims was a police officer with CMPD. Three were officers with the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force. Here’s what we know so far about those who died:William “Alden” Elliot Officer Elliot had served with the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction for 14 years, assigned to the Special Operations and Intelligence Unit.
