We’re finding out more about the man who investigators said opened fire on officers Monday afternoon in Charlotte before he was later shot and killed. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said on Monday, Hughes fired on law enforcement officers as they were trying to serve him a warrant for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Four Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers were shot, one of whom died. Four officers from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force were also shot, three of whom died.
