After stabbing the officer, the woman sat down and refused to drop her knife for roughly 45 minutes, an arrest affidavit says.

BOULDER, Colo. — A woman who had been asked “multiple times” to leave a Boulder store stabbed an officer who responded there for a trespassing call late Wednesday, according to an arrest affidavit.

Employees at Lucky’s Market at 3960 Broadway called the police around 8 p.m. Wednesday after the woman, later identified as Patricia Murphy, refused to leave.

When two Boulder Police officers arrived, they observed Murphy being verbally aggressive. After an officer told her she needed to leave, Murphy grabbed a knife from her back pocket and stabbed the officer in his upper left shoulder, the affidavit says.

The officer is expected to be OK, Boulder Police said.
