Pa. man arrested for swatting ex’s house: Conn. police [Video]

NORWALK, Conn. — A Pennsylvania man was arrested for swatting his ex; calling Norwalk police and sending them to his ex’s house when there was no emergency in the first place.

On the morning of March 17, Norwalk police got information from NYPD regarding a woman being held at gunpoint at a home in Norwalk.

Officers responded to the home, formed a perimeter and started to make contact with the residents. Police quickly determined that the call was a hoax, police said.

Investigators traced the call back to Maurice Smith, an ex-boyfriend of the victim, and determined that Smith’s call was a swatting prank.
