Pear Blossom Parade returns for 71st year | Top Stories [Video]

MEDFORD, Ore– The Pear Blossom Festival grand opus, the Pear Blossom Parade took place at a.m. Thousands participated in the parade with tens of thousands flooding the streets of downtown Medford.

The parade has been a Rogue Valley staple for 71 years, with many bringing multiple generations of their family to come enjoy the view. “We have been down here when it snowed, when it’s raining, when we’ve got sunburns,” Said Frances Stroup, a local mother and grandmother, “We don’t care about the weather because it is a tradition.”

Local businesses and organizations were able to showcase their talents and history to the community- celebrating everything Rogue Valley. Local mom Rhiannon Eichenlaub said, “As time has gone by the valley has changed, and it kind of brings us back to what we’re known for.”
