LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A person was taken to the hospital Saturday evening after crashing their car into a building in the Watterson Park neighborhood.

Dewayne Hutchins, a spokesman for the Fern Creek Fire Dept., said crews along with Okolona Fire responded to the 4600 block of Bishop Lane on a vehicle that crashed into a building.

Crews arrived on scene to a car that was on fire and an entrapment.

The fire was under control within a few minutes and prevented further damage to the building. The incident also caused a delay for the Norfolk Southern railroad due to water supply lines across the tracks.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital and their condition isn’t known at this time.

Louisville Metro Police are investigating.
