Police chief weighs in after Arab High School head football coach arrested | News [Video]

The Arab head football coach charged with sending obscene photos to a student resigned from his position Friday morning. 

Lee Ozmint was arrested Thursday for allegedly sending and/or soliciting obscene photographs to a current male student of Arab High School.

Arab City Schools superintendent Johnny C. Berry told WAAY 31 the Board of Education called a special meeting Friday morning to accept Lee Ozmint’s resignation.

Arab Police Chief Shane Washburn says he was shocked, like most of the community, when he heard what happened with coach Ozmint. Once his department was notified by Arab High School of the situation, Chief Washburn says they immediately began investigating.
