A MASSIVE recall notice was issued on Friday for a popular brand of air fryers.
Hundreds of thousands of Americans were affected after the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) confirmed that the appliance could be a fire hazard.
The CPSC said it received at least 24 reports from consumers that models of Insignia air fryers and air ovens were overheating, with six of those reports claiming the device caught fire in the process.
Others noted that the handles on the air fryers would melt or break during the overheating, per the release.
The glass on the air fryer door could also potentially shatter.
