The Air Force and the Natural Guard Bureau have rescinded their proposal to create a low-flying training zone in northcentral Pennsylvania that would have allowed pilots to fly as low as 100 feet above the ground.
The announcement was made Friday by U.S. Senators Bob Casey and John Fetterman who had repeatedly pushed the Air Force to abandon the controversial plan to create a Duke Military Operating Area (MOA).
“We’re excited with the news,” said a spokesperson for the PA Wilds Center for Entrepreneurship.
