WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) will meet again on Tuesday after a long discussion following the congresswoman’s threats to force a vote to oust him.

The meeting on Monday came over a month after Greene filed a motion to vacate, following frustration with speaker’s handling of a $1.2 trillion dollar government funding deal.

Rep. Greene said little about what the two discussed during the meeting.

“So I just had a long discussion with the Speaker in his office about ways to move forward for a Republican-controlled House of Representatives. We’re talking to him again tomorrow based on our discussion today,” she said.

Speaker Johnson said the meeting was constructive.

Last week, the Georgia congresswoman said she force a vote on the motion in the coming days. The vote appears likely to fail after House Democratic leaders said they would “table” or kill the effort.
