Retired Hagerstown government employee wins Power Cash scratch-off prize [Video]

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (DC News Now) — A retired government employee in Hagerstown has won a Power Cash scratch-off prize in the Maryland Lottery.

The winner wants to remain anonymous but she purchased her ticket at the Martin’s supermarket on North Pointe Drive.

She says the $50,000 she collected will go towards helping her family.

Shoppers reacted to the news of a winning ticket being purchased in the store.

“I think it’s great that someone in our generation won the ticket,” said retiree Rob Hopkins with a laugh upon hearing the news. “I hope it’s me next time.”

The grocery store will also win some of that prize too.
