DENVER (KKTV) – Two people accused of improperly storing nearly 200 bodies inside a Colorado funeral home are back behind bars and are now facing federal charges on top of the hundreds of state charges against them.
Attorneys representing the suspects entered a not-guilty plea on behalf of their defendants Thursday morning. It was decided in the U.S. District court that Carrie Hallford is eligible for release to a halfway house while Jon Hallford is not eligible for release and will be held in custody. Other allegations were brought up in court on Thursday as there are claims Jon has been engaging in inappropriate conversations with a minor.
