Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. argued on Monday that President Joe Biden represents a more significant danger to democracy than former President Donald Trump.
RFK Jr.’s assertions, made during an appearance on CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront,” revolved around his claims of being subjected to censorship on social media platforms during the Biden administration. He characterized this as an attempt to stifle political discourse and erode First Amendment rights.
Kennedy highlighted his removal from social media platforms, which he attributed to pressure from the Biden administration, as evidence of the president’s efforts to censor political speech.
His Instagram account was suspended in 2021 for sharing what the platform deemed “debunked claims” about the coronavirus and vaccines. However, it was reinstated shortly after he announced his presidential campaign, with Meta citing his candidacy as the reason for the restoration.
