Robeson Co. deputies searching for armed and dangerous murder suspect [Video]

LUMBERTON, N.C. (WMBF) – A search is underway for an armed and dangerous Lumberton murder suspect, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

Monday afternoon deputies were called to the 900 block of Beam Road for reports of a shooting victim. Upon arrival, they found 33-year-old Brandigan Hunt dead in a car from apparent gunshot wounds.

During the investigation deputies discovered the shooting had taken place at a home on Holly Swamp Church Road and identified the suspect as 20-year-old Chase Titus Locklear.

Locklear is wanted for first-degree murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle inflicting serious bodily injury, assault by pointing a gun, and communicating threats.

The sheriff’s office said he is considered armed and dangerous.
