Scene cleared at Raytheon after suspicious device found [Video]

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The all-clear was given at Raytheon after a suspicious item was located on Tuesday, April 16.

The Tucson Police Department confirmed it started around 11:30 a.m. when an item was found at the facility located at 1151 East Hermans Road.

The TPD said its explosive ordnance disposal team responded and deemed the item as safe.

The all-clear was given around 2:30 p.m. and no criminal violations were noted, according to the TPD.

Raytheon said the facility was briefly evacuated and it returned to normal operations.

“We appreciate the quick response from the first responders on the scene,” the company said in a statement to 13 News.
