Tournament organizers said that everyone who played in the tournament has family and friends who currently live with dementia or loved ones they’ve lost to it.
The community incentive started during the pandemic and encourages people to move at least one mile for 100 days.
Operation Chow Line provided a free meal as a token of appreciation and also unveiled what’s being called the “Ready 2 Serve Resource Locker.”
Tree planting demonstrations, live music, local nurseries and greenhouses all set up shop at the park to celebrate the day and appreciate the environment.
