MEDFORD, Ore. – Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids in Medford has car-shaped seats, a wall of styles to choose from, different colored capes and post-cut balloons – but there’s one thing that sets it apart from other salons for children.

Cookie Cutters specializes in sensory-friendly haircuts for children on the autism spectrum or with other disabilities – and it’s the only salon of its kind in the Rogue Valley. Tammy Diaz, the owner, purchased the business in 2021 after seeing how her stepson, who is autistic, struggled with getting haircuts as a kid.
