Several homes on fire in Mesa, officials say [Video]

MESA, Ariz. — Several houses in Mesa are heavily damaged after a fire spread due to windy conditions, officials with the Mesa Fire Department said. 

Emergency crews responded to the fire around 2 p.m. near Stapley Drive and Brown Road Friday and found “multiple houses involved due to windy conditions,” a statement from the department said.

Sky12 footage shows just how big the fire became. Firefighters were attacking the blaze from several different positions.
