OROVILLE, Calif. – People living in Oroville might see their sewer bill increase starting this July. The Sewerage Commission Oroville Region Office with the City of Oroville is looking into pushing this increase.
The entire rate increase would go up by $5 over 5 years. The current charge is $23.85 a month for a single-family household. It would increase only once a year. So this July, it would go up $24.49. It would continue to increase every July until 2027. The final for that year would be about $29. Again, this is still just a proposal.
“We are just very budget-conscious,” SCOR manager Glen Sturdevant said. “So the impact here will be to keep SCOR in good standing for the next 20–30 years.”
