Shaq stops by Henry County barbershop to talk policing [Video]

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal met with some of his neighbors Saturday night to talk policing in Henry County.

He lives in the county and has been active with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office for several years.

He and Sheriff Reginald Scandrett sat in chairs at the Supremes Barbershop to answer questions.

Shaq told the crowd that good policing starts at the top and encouraged everyone to vote.

“We have to really pay attention and we have to vote,” he said. “One thing with all the people coming here, they look like us. So we control our own destinies. We have to pay attention and research and vote. We can run the whole thing.”

Henry County residents will be voting on who they want as sheriff as part of the upcoming elections in May and November.
