SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. – Shasta County Supervisors adopted a resolution saying they will not work with the state on immigration policy.
The board agreed unanimously to take a stand against illegal immigration.
Supervisors and the sheriff discussed the issue, saying the county does not have enough money to spend on resources for asylum seekers and non-citizen immigrants.
So, it will not spend money on long-term housing for migrants and will instead refer them to sanctuary counties and cities.
People who share their thoughts want to see migrants go through the proper legal process.
Supervisors say their issue is not with legal immigrants but with the massive number of illegals who are crossing into California.
