TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Some University of Arizona pro-Palestinian organizations gathered at the UA Mall on Thursday, April 25.
The event started with students calling for a ceasefire and for the university to divest from Israel, a message that has been echoed by college students across the country in the past couple of weeks.
“People need to come to an understanding and say enough is enough you know? We are not going to allow governments to filter large sums of money to these military companies, to Israel specifically,” said Spencer Gantt a staff member at the UA.
However, one man who also works at the university was holding an Israeli flag, and he said that this rally has come too late, and that it’s blaming the wrong group.
