South Dakota students reach Junior Achievement National Competition [Video]

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Students from three South Dakota schools will have the chance to compete in a national competition after placing at the top of the state’s Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge.

The JA Stock Market Challenge, hosted by Junior Achievement of South Dakota, competition allowed students to experience a simulation of the Wall Street Stock Exchange. The teams were given $500,000 to invest in 26 fictitious stocks. With trading days lasting just 60 seconds, the goal was to see the highest return by making the best decisions during the frantic 60 “days” on the trading floor.

The following top three teams from the JA Stock Market Challenge will have the chance to compete in the National Competition held virtually on Thursday, May 16th:
