STEM For Her annual gala celebrates local young women pursuing STEM careers [Video]

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — STEM for Her is a local organization with a mission to help girls and young women in the DMV pursue a career in science, technology, engineering and mathematics through hands-on experiences and mentorship.

Thursday, April 24th is their annual STEM for Her Gala held at the Hilton Tysons Corner in McLean, Va., with this year’s theme “Elevate Her,” celebrating the female students that the organization supports.

The event will fundraise for programs that the organization provides to local students and young women through mentorship, scholarships and STEM-related field trips.
