Suspect in deadly Christmas Eve shooting on ‘Most Wanted List’ [Video]

Nearly four months after a deadly shooting at a Lawrence nightclub on Christmas Eve, Massachusetts State Police are adding the suspect to their “Most Wanted List.” Franklin Mauel Laras, 27, is wanted in connection with the shooting at Energy Lounge, located at 459 Broadway, at about 12:20 a.m. on Dec. 24. He is being sought on a warrant issued by Essex Superior Court for a charge of murder and two counts of a firearms violation with two prior violent or drug crimes. Responding officers found Edward Javier-Perez, 29, suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders rendered aid to the victim, who was then transported to Lawrence General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.”Evidence suggests that shortly after entering the club, Laras had an altercation with the victim during which he allegedly drew a handgun from his waistband and fired one shot at close range, striking the victim,” state police wrote …
