Police say a teenager is in critical condition after Friday’s shooting; meanwhile his assailant, a 14-year-old boy, is connected with theft incidents in the city.
DECATUR, Ala. — Investigators say the shooting of a juvenile Friday in Decatur has led to the arrest of four people – one adult and three minors – connected with at least two theft incidents in the city. According to police, a male juvenile was brought to Decatur Morgan Hospital on Friday with an apparent gunshot wound. He was later taken to Huntsville Hospital, where he remains as of Sunday in critical condition.
Meanwhile, investigators traced the scene of the shooting to the 1100 block of 7th Avenue SE. A 14-year-old boy was identified as the suspect and charged with first-degree assault.
