WASHINGTON — A 16-year-old boy was arrested Saturday after allegedly robbing a CVS in Navy Yard and assaulting a security guard alongside several other teenagers. Police are still searching for suspects in this case.
On Tuesday, April 16, at 8:45 p.m., investigators say a group of suspects walked into a CVS in the 1100 block of New Jersey Avenue in Southeast, and took items without paying. When they were confronted by a security guard, one of the suspects threw a bottle, missing the security guard.
On April 20, as a result of detectives’ investigation, a 16-year-old boy of Southeast was arrested and charged in connection to the robbery. He was charged with burglary two, theft and assault of a police officer.
