Texas A&M’s electrifying shortstop missed six games while nursing a hamstring, but she returned in midseason form in helping the 10th-ranked Aggies roll to a 12-2 victory over the Houston Cougars on Tuesday night at Davis Diamond.
A&M’s booming bats put the finishing touches on Aggies’ 14th run-rule victory of the season as seniors Trinity Cannon and Rylen Wiggins each hit three-run homers in a seven-run fourth inning. By then, A&M (38-9) already had the game in hand with Wooley’s energy affecting the game in multiple ways.
