JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The Great American Eclipse will make its way through the country on April 8.
A few notable cities are Natchez, where the eclipse gets started in Mississippi, at around 1:49 p.m. then Vicksburg and Jackson join at around 1:52 p.m. Oxford and Clarksdale will be some of the last cities to experience it closer to 2 p.m. with Clarksdale expected to get around 96.1 percent totality.
With this being the first solar eclipse since 2017, it has experts and children excited.
St. Andrews’ physics and astronomy teacher Brian Lamb says his students can’t wait for the show.
“Even the most skeptical students, you’ll hear… Wow! That is so sick,” he said.
