The Velma Young Center held a mobile consulate for the Mexican culture of Meridian [Video]

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) -The Mexican consulate out of New Orleans held a mobile consulate at the Velma Young Center on Saturday.

The consulate’s purpose is to help Mexican nationals with various identification documents, birth certificates, and other related matters. The Elmore law firm out of Jackson was also in attendance to help and speak with some of the nationals.

The Mexican government is very good about going out of the hub for their consulates to help their nationals and citizens out with this type of thing, and I’m sure the Mexican people are appreciative of it. I think everybody likes to be seen, so I’m sure they appreciate the fact that there are people here who care about what’s going on in their lives and if there is anything they can do to help out,” says Partner of Immigration Jeremy Litton.
