Tips on looking after your kidneys during National Kidney Month [Video]

It’s National Kidney Month and doctors want to make sure you’re taking care of your kidneys to help prevent kidney disease.

PORTLAND, Ore. — It’s National Kidney Month, doctors say it’s important to look after your kidneys and make sure they stay healthy. 

Strive Health Regional Medical Director, Dr. Anjali Gupta says, “Kidneys are very vital organs of our body. They filter the blood and remove the waste products from the body. They help regulate blood pressure.”

The early stages of kidney disease are asymptomatic. In fact, doctors say 37 million Americans have kidney disease. And 90% of those with kidney disease aren’t aware they have it. That can cause many not to seek help until it’s too advanced.
