Too tall: House on flatbed truck brings down powerlines, closing Wendell Falls Parkway [Video]

Wendell Falls Parkway was closed Friday at Poole Road and Eagle Rock Road in eastern Wake County after a manufactured home carried on a flatbed truck brought down power lines.

The crash was reported before 12:30 p.m.

The home, which was too tall, took down power lines and cable wires.

Duke Energy was at the scene making repairs, and power outages were reported in the area.

Detours are in place.

Martin Pond Road and Wendell Boulevard are alternate routes.
