Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week: Senior is a leader at Milbank High School [Video]

MILBANK, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Stella Wendland ranks number one in her class at Milbank High School with a 4.19 FPA. She also scored a 33 on her ACT and she gives her twin sister Olivia a lot of credit for her success.

“She’s the same as me. She pushes me more than anybody else. I mean, I would not be where I am today without her,” said Stella.

“You know, Stella is an amazing student and person, and the hard thing about teaching students like Stella is they’re so bright and they’re so driven, so you want to make sure you are doing them justice. So, Stella really pushed me to become a better teacher,” said MHS math teacher Caitlyn Graf.

Besides being a top student, Stella stays very busy in extracurricular activities, which include being student-body president and she’s also been selected for all-state choir.
