GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The City of Greenville announced road closures starting Wednesday as Duke Energy works to replace a transformer.

City officials said the site prep will begin on Wednesday, May 1 at 10 p.m. and the road will be closed until 6 a.m. on Thursday, May 2.

Residents and businesses in the block of East Coffee between North Main and Brown might experience a power outage beginning at 11:59 p.m. This might last for about four to five hours while the work is in progress.

The alternate date for this work will begin Wednesday, May 8 at 11:59 p.m. if inclement weather or an unforeseen emergency is presented.
