The Portland Trail Blazers will not renew the contracts for assistant coaches Scott Brooks and Rodney Billups, an NBA source has told The Oregonian/OregonLive.
This comes after Steve Hetzel left the Blazers on April 22 to join the Brooklyn Nets’ coaching staff following three seasons in Rip City.
Brooks spent three seasons as the top assistant on coach Chauncey Billups’ staff. Rodney Billups, Chauncey Billups’ younger brother, specialized in development and defense.
The Blazers plan to fill all three positions.
