TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa International Airport unveiled additional electric vehicle charging stations in the airport’s parking garage on Monday.

This project was completed in collaboration with the Indian Nations Council of Governments (INCOG), Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust and Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO).

The airport said the project marked a significant milestone in the airport’s commitment to embracing green technology and giving additional services to its passengers.

A ribbon cutting was held on Earth Day to give an exclusive look at the new charging stations as well as over 15 electric vehicles on display from local dealerships.

Tulsa County Commissioner and Chair of the Board of Directors for INCOG, Karen Keith,  spoke at the ribbon cutting.

Keith said INCOG received $500,000 in federal funding for the project.
