Two SE Texas cities reelect mayors, one elects new mayor Saturday [Video]

BEAUMONT, Texas — Southeast Texas voters headed to the polls Saturday to elect mayors, council members, school board members and to approve school bonds and municipal propositions along with voters around the state. 

Voters also approved a $72 million bond in the West Orange-Cove CISD and a $24 million bond in the Evadale ISD. However they said no to a $47.6 million bond in the Deweyville ISD and no to an Orange County Emergency Services District One sales tax proposition. There were also a handful of city and school board races around the region. 

In three mayoral races held around Southeast Texas a new mayor was elected in Anahuac and incumbent mayors in Bridge City and Sour Lake held on to their seats.
