USD students help landscape Siouxland Freedom Park [Video]

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) – University of South Dakota students took advantage of the nice weather by giving back to the community and helping landscape Siouxland Freedom Park.

Students that are in the group Alternate Week of Off-Campus Learning group do projects locally and around the country to help impact the community.

The group wanted to give back to veterans, which is the reason they were out today planting a bunch of bushes and helping beautify the Korean War replica memorial.

“It definitely means a lot to our students that were able to help out with such a wide-reaching project and one of the newer memorials that’s being installed here,” Emma Schnurstein, project site leader said.
