KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Local vendors and artists gathered in Kansas City over the weekend to kick off the third annual Waldo Spring Fling.
A variety of vendors from cookie shops like Brown Suga to health and wellness companies like Co-Op Fitness and Health and Presence Chiropractic gathered in the district on Saturday, May 4.
KCTV5 was able to catch up with the honorary Mayor of Waldo George Medina who said he was happy to see how far the neighborhood had come.
“Seeing it get better year after year is unbelievable,” Medina said. “And what’s happening right now – even though its kind of a little mess right now – within a year or so it’s going to change the whole face of 75th St. and Wornall Rd. So, I think the best is yet to come.”
The outdoor festival focused on supporting the local community as it offered a popup experience.
