Volunteers clean up major Sioux City roads ahead of NAIA tournament [Video]

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – Volunteers from CNOS, MidAmerican Energy, and others, were cleaning around the Hamilton Boulevard exit along Interstate 29, the Lakeport exit along the Highway 20 bypass and along Gordon Drive between Wesley Parkway and Floyd Boulevard.

It’s an effort to clean up the city before teams arrive for the NAIA Women’s National Basketball Tournament.

The groups volunteering are glad to give back to the community.

“It makes me feel great. I mean I think the community has supported us for many many years by shopping in our stores and the least we can do is give back to the community by cleaning it up as best as we are able to,” said Executive Vice President for Bomgaars Aaron Bomgaars.

There will also be volunteers cleaning up on Tuesday, March 12.
